One of them remarked on how well I was doing in the contest. The other replied, ‘Of course he is doing well. He has more than ten years of experience in C.’ At that moment, I realised that no matter how well I solved those puzzles, the result would naturally be credited to experience. In my younger days, when I solved tricky problems like these, people would sometimes call me smart. Now people simply saw it as a consequence of my experience.
